ReplyDeleteKirrin, in order to compare the LPs and the CD versions, and in order to thank you for all you shares, I made a link to download the DENON CD version of this album. It's in FLAC, and there is the scan of the booklet as well, here it is:

Hope you and all the readers of your blog will enjoy!
Thank you so much for sharing. As I suspected they are quite comparable - both sound good. The CD version I would say has slightly more warmth, or at least is a bit louder, and would lack any physical drawbacks of the vinyl such as reduced quality the closer the stylus moves towards the inner grooves - i.e. more information is packed into a tighter and tighter space - the stylus has a lot more work to do following the vinyl grooves on the inner part of the vinyl. Anyway thanks again! Feel free to email me at kirrin@live.com - we may be able to exchange some other CDs
DeleteThank you Rory!
DeleteThe Denon CD sounds superb.
It also makes me appreciate what a great job Kirrin is doing with the LP transfers.
I've made separate front and back covers from the booklet that is included in the CD download (with very light adjustments).
Thanks to both of you.
