Dear Kirrin
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for releasing this gem from a very youthful looking (and sounding) Ashwini. For those who know only her more mature work, this is a great addition. I particularly like the last track the bhajan.
I'm not aware that this was ever re-released on CD, but given Saregama's style, it may well have been as a compilation. From her website, it looks like there may have been another HMV India LP release in 1988 "Ashwini Bhide Sings" with Kedar, Khambavati & Bhoop-Nat, which again I've not seen in CD release. Keep up the good work
Beautiful singer, saw her in concert, and it was great.
